ACuZincTM 10 Zinc Alloy
Cold chamber pressure diecasting Zinc alloy.
AcuZinc 10 is a cold chamber pressure die casting zinc base alloy developed by GM for specialised high performance applications. Brock Metal manufactures this alloy under licence for the European market.
Application
Few mechanical properties are available for this alloy and therefore potential applications should be referred to Brock at the design stage. Casting applications will generally be for larger heavy duty parts requiring larger machine capacities.
When designing a stressed component using Acuzinc 10 further reference should be made to the alloys properties, at elevated temperatures, after natural or artificial ageing and the alloys creep properties.
